5 Steps to Printing the Perfect Custom Brochure

Custom brochure printing is a popular tool to market your products and services. What should good custom brochure printing look like? Here are our top 5 tips.

custom brochure printing

Considering your marketing strategy

Your marketing strategy is how you present your products and services to the public. This should convince your target market that they need what you are offering and anchor the customer into a relationship with your company. Custom brochure hire printing can play a key role in conveying messages such as, “this is what we do, we know you would benefit from our services so please contact us today”. Custom brochure printing should deliver your marketing strategy by reinforcing the message with pictures and detailed information.

Maintaining a consistent message

It is crucial to maintain a consistent message. You must know what your brand image is and how you want to convey that to customers through customer brochure printing. A mission statement is a good starting point. It should encapsulate, concisely, what you are about. Take the mission statement of Steinway pianos: “To build the best pianos possible.” That has worked for them since 1865. The statement is in a very prominent position in their customer brochure which then takes an in-depth look at the product. Once you know what your message is, you should keep putting it out there using brand guidelines.

Adhering to brand guidelines (including imagery)

Your brand identity is the way your company wants to be perceived. Brand assets relate to how you are going to present your brand identity, so that no matter what the product or service is, the public knows instantly who they are dealing with. Brand guidelines establish the rules relating to how you will present your brand in terms of company logo, typeface, photo resolution, colour scheme, etc. Keeping that same look in all your marketing materials, business cards, flyers and on your website at all times is crucial in establishing your brand.

The finish and quality of paper you are using

Custom brochure printing is a specialist field: don’t do it yourself. You should aim to use the best materials you can afford. The specifics of how you put your brochure together will depend to some extent on the goods or services being marketed and the customer base you are aiming at. Printers, copywriters and brochure photographers will work together, advise you on the best type of paper to use and create a product that meets your needs.

Distributing your brochures

You should use every means you can to put your brochure in front of the people it is aimed at. How you do this will depend on the size and locality of your business, what you are marketing and inevitably your budget.

Direct mail

Once you know who you want to send your brochure to, direct mail is a very effective, if somewhat expensive, way of doing it.

Send your brochure out with every order

If the customer is paying the package and postage on orders, adding a brochure is a cost-effective way of keeping their relationship with you going.

Distributing by hand

Distribution by hand works when you are marketing to people in your local area. You could even do this in tandem with other local businesses that have a product related to yours, so that you share the work load.

Leaning on Friends

Another way to distribute your brochure is to locate local businesses and institutions that would be happy to display a copy in their foyer or reception.

How to give your wedding invites that personal touch

Planning for a wedding is certainly no easy task. You need to make sure that your special day provides memories to last a lifetime, and often the first step is informing friends and loved ones about your special day with style. Let’s look at how personalised wedding invitations can make all of the difference.

A Quick Look at Wedding Invitation Design

Personalised invites are available in a wide array of styles and these will naturally depend upon the theme that you are trying to achieve. While a handful of couples may choose to create these invitations themselves, some of the most stunning personalised cards are designed by professionals. You will therefore be able to choose the size, the font, the associated imagery, and the colour scheme. In fact, it is even possible to select specific coatings and textures if you wish. The main intention is to capture the flavour of the upcoming event in a stylised and memorable fashion.

How to Personalise Your Invitations

Invitations should always resonate with the recipient. While most couples choose to have the majority of information contained within their wedding invites printed by a third-party design firm, it is normally wise to leave a space where more personal information can be included (such as a specific message or more commonly, the name of the guest). The use of a professional calligrapher is also a good idea as this will add even more style to your presentation.

What Should be Included Within Your Wedding Invites?

Of course, it is important to include all of the most essential information. This will normally consist of:

  • Your desire (either formal or informal) for the guest to attend.
  • The first and last names of the couple to be married.
  • The name of the venue and where it is located.
  • The time and date of the event.
  • The location of the reception (if different from the venue).
  • RSVP information so that guests can confirm their attendance in advance.

You may also choose to include a response cut-off date to avoid any last-minute changes (such as issues with catering or entertainment).

How Early Should These Wedding Invites be Ordered?

Most experts agree that it is best to send out your personalised invites between two and three months in advance of the big day. If you are planning a destination wedding, a minimum of three months should be provided. Not only will this help guests to make the appropriate travel plans and accommodation arrangements, but you will not be pressed for time only days before the event.

Reed Digital is happy to offer you a wide range of options if you are looking to create a truly memorable wedding invitation. We will also help you select the most appropriate themes based around your desires. Please contact us to speak with our friendly team to learn more about your wedding invitation options.

5 Reasons Why You Should Use Pull Up Banners When Exhibiting

What advantages do pull up banners have to offer? If you are planning to display your products and services at an upcoming exhibition, this type of banner design can provide you with an amazing advertising edge. Let us look at four benefits associated with pull up banners for businesses so that you can appreciate what is in store.

Roller Banners and Pull-Up Banners in Ipswich, Colchester & Bury St Edmunds | Reed Digital

Visually Appealing and Engaging Exhibition Stands

Any type of high-quality roller banner is a great way to emphasise the unique branding and logo design of your firm. Public exhibitions present you with the opportunity to stand out from your competitors. Pull up or roller banners offer you superior means to rise head and shoulders above similar businesses. Additionally, this type of signage will increase the chances that a customer or affiliate takes the time to stop by your stall in order to make further enquiries.

Pop Up Banners Are a Cost-Effective Advertising Method

Thanks to advancements in digital printing techniques, pull up banners are a great option if you have a limited budget. They can be produced quickly and can be engineered to suit a variety of different dimensions. If you have been searching for a way to enjoy a higher return on investment, these banners should be incorporated into your exhibition marketing strategy.

Space-Saving Advantages

Some traditional forms of exhibition marketing (such as a-frame signs) can take up a significant amount of space. This will be problematic in the event that your stand cannot exceed a certain footprint. Roll-up advertising is vertically-focused, so you will have plenty of room to display the items being offered. Customers can also interact with your stall without feeling overwhelmed by more intrusive forms of advertising.

Banner Stands are Easy to Transport

Preparing for an upcoming exhibition can be challenging; especially if you will be required to travel a significant amount of distance. This is when transporting bulky items to and from the site is an undesirable scenario. As their name denotes, banners can simply be rolled up and stored in small spaces. Their compact size reduces the inconvenience of transporting exhibition items, and means they will fit in smaller vehicles. It could even mean that fewer trips are needed to and from the exhibition venue during the preparation phase.

If you have been less than satisfied with other advertising methods, it is wise to look into the selection of roller banners supplied by Reed Digital. We offer fully customised service solutions, and even challenging requirements can be met within a short period of time. Please contact us to learn more.

The 5 Most Important Elements of Brochure Design

Brochures are intended to promote your business and its associated services in the best way possible. This is why it is critical to take into account the most important design elements ahead of ordering your print materials. Let us examine five professional suggestions as well as the benefits of each design element.

Brochure Design in Ipswich & Suffolk - Reed Digital

1. The Proper Format

Formatting is critical in terms of brochure design, as this will present the reader with a visual “road map”. Much like a standalone website, a brochure should have a clear and uniform structure in order to avoid clutter. This is why it is always a good idea to create a rough draft format before submitting the final print for publication.

2. Cover Design

This is arguably the most important point, as the cover will ultimately determine whether or not the user reads the internal contents. Therefore, the associated material should “lift” off of the page. Some common features within a cover design include the name of the company, basic contact details, bespoke branding, and any special offers that may be relevant.

3. The Appropriate Colours

Brochure design also involves choosing the most relevant colours for your needs. In the majority of cases, these tones will reflect the branding of your firm in order to create a sense of visual uniformity. However, there is a bit more than meets the eye in this respect.

Bold colours have been known to grab the attention of the reader, while more subdued hues could be better if you are looking to convey a sense of calm and assurance. Also, be certain that the colour scheme in question does not overwhelm the imagery or the textual content. It should instead be used as a complimentary element.

4. Physical Considerations

Functionality is equally important when tackling the concept of brochure design. Paper of heavier gauges is generally preferred, as it is more likely to resist tearing; particularly relevant if these brochures will be distributed to a large number of consumers. The binding is also vital in order to ensure that the brochures remain intact. Always remember that the physical design of the brochure will have an impact upon how your company is perceived.

5. A Call to Action

Finally, make certain that a clear call to action is included. This is critical within any marketing campaign and it is just as important when referring to professional brochure design. Here are some quick calls to action to consider:

– “Please call at your convenience to learn more.”
– “Email a representative directly to place an order.”
– “Do you have additional questions? If so, a customer service representative is always standing by.”

These are some of the most basic elements to take into account when designing eye-catching brochures. As always, a specialist at Reed Digital is always available if you are curious to learn more about the services that we have to offer.

Why Should You Print Your Photos Professionally?

It has often been said that a picture speaks a thousand words. Considering the fact that we are living in a very visual age, it only stands to reason that photos are now more relevant than ever. High-quality imagery can make all of the difference between a memorable experience or marketing campaign, and one that misses the mark entirely. This is why leveraging the benefits of professional photo printing is a logical solution. Let us take a look at a handful of the benefits associated with professional photo printing, as well as what the team at Reed Digital has to offer.

Our Top 5 Favourite Poster Designs

Have you been looking to create an eye-catching and effective poster design? If so, a bit of inspiration might be in order. This is why our experts have put together some unique poster design ideas, so that you can from an objective and educated opinion. Without further ado, let’s take a closer look.

The Bold and the Beautiful

Some of the most effective poster designs incorporate bold lettering alongside striking images. The main intention behind this strategy is to immediately capture the attention of onlookers. Thus, it makes perfect sense that this type of poster design is often relied upon within the world of advertising.

Striking Backgrounds

It is important to take into account backgrounds when dealing with the concept of bespoke poster designs. Not only should they be relevant to the topic at hand, but backgrounds can often be used to better emphasise the point that you are trying to make. A well-researched background poster design can have a massive impact upon how the imagery impacts the viewer.

Right to the Point

Another poster design that has remained a favourite involves a sense of simplicity. After all, complicated imagery will only serve to detract from the contents. Poster designs that are too overwhelming can lead to confusion, and make it much more difficult to get a specific point across. Simple mission statements, clear contact details, and a subsequent call to action are some of the main elements to place within such poster designs. With these the chances are high that you will enjoy a better return on investment.

The Use of Leading Lines Within Poster Design

This is a lesser-known poster design idea and yet, it is extremely powerful. Leading lines are images and/or backgrounds that help to draw the focus of the reader to a certain point. An example could be two roads converging towards the horizon, or tall buildings that cause the reader to immediately look up to a message written in the clouds. These poster designs employ psychology to better resonate with the customer, while still presenting your products and services in a stunning manner.

Infographics

Infographics are often seen within websites, as they are capable of explaining complicated concepts, or breaking down a subject into easily digestible sections. However, poster designs can also incorporate these techniques on occasion. Our team will often employ infographics within a poster design template in order to highlight the benefits of a specific product, or to illustrate what customers can expect when utilising a service.

The experts at Reed Digital offer a second-to-none level of experience within the poster design industry. If you are hoping to create an eye-catching advertisement, or simply wish to learn more about the countless options at your disposal, it is a good idea to contact us directly. There is no substitute for creativity within this modern world. Our team always remains one step ahead of the curve so you are in good hands.

Why Should You Invest in Compliment Cards?

Compliment cards have become increasingly popular forms of communication. While there is no doubt we live within a decidedly digital world, it is still a well-known fact that a bit of stationery can go a long way towards establishing long-term relationships with friends, co-workers and customers. Let’s take a look at some of the main reasons why compliment cards represent an excellent investment strategy, as well as a handful of the numerous benefits that they have to offer.

Embracing a Cost-Effective Edge

There are many times when an organisation is required to adhere to a tight budget, which might preclude certain advertising techniques. The good news is that compliment cards are extremely cost-effective options, and they can often be ordered in bulk to enjoy even more significant discounts.

Adding a Truly Personal Touch

This is arguably the most important advantage of compliment cards. These cards enable you to develop a rapport with the recipient in question. Examples can include a friendly reminder that it is time to see a dentist, a thank-you note for services recently rendered, or holiday greetings. In any of these circumstances, the reader is reminded that they are valued. Compliment cards therefore represent extremely powerful tools if you are looking to resonate with your client base.

Appealing with the End User

This next point essentially flows from the previous section. Compliment cards are an additional means to target specific individuals. This is often not possible with generic alternatives such as mass emails that are sent out in an automated fashion. Handwritten notes are capable of addressing the individual reader in question; increasing the chances that further actions will be taken, such as calling your firm, or requesting additional information about a specific service that you have to offer.

A Host of Unique Design Options

Compliment cards are extremely flexible in terms of the styles and designs at your disposal. Not only can you choose from a countless number of fonts and backgrounds, but the additional use of colours and logos ensures that your brand identity will be immediately recognised by the end user. Also, modern digital printing processes allow even the most detailed compliment cards to be created in a timely fashion, without incurring a substantial amount of additional expenses.

Compliment Cards Will Enhance Brand Recognition

Compliment cards and branding enjoy a hand-in-hand relationship. This is critical to appreciate within such a competitive marketplace. They can therefore be employed along other digital methods such as social media profiles and automated newsletters. The fact of the matter is that physical advertising can always be used in order to further expose what it is that your company has to offer.

Would you like to learn about the compliment cards and other services that are provided by the team at Reed Digital? If so, we are only a phone call away. Please take a moment to contact us in order to take the exposure of your business to the next level.
